Lets say there was a girl called Rinjan. She likes her current job and this is the routine she follows from Monday to Friday, what with some weekdays thrown in as government holidays which her office diligently follows.
- Check in at 9 am at her computer. Curse a little bit if the common UPS has been left on throughout the night because of certain irresponsible people. Yes, she has to turn it off herself most of the evenings.
- Log in to check if there are any new comments to be replied in her blog. Accordingly, check blog stats to see if the previous high has been beaten till date – no such luck: the date remains August 21st 2007.
- Parry off a few general enquiries from early birds and promise to ‘get back to them later on’ whenever that is.
- Check all the blogs on her blogroll and comment on each of them, provided the internet connection holds steady. Curse a little bit when the idiotic BSNL broadband fails which is more often than not.
- Log in to Facebook and use her I-musta-been-speeding Vampire (yes, the red underwear one) to attack certain other Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies that have been attack-worthy since the previous day.
- Log in to Orkut and check her daily scraps which have stayed a fixed number since the last week. This is what happens when you dont reply to people asking you ‘How are you? Whats up?’ over a month.
- Check the ~All About Dogs~ community and see if there are any new illness/dog psychology/tricks relating to her own labrador who’s waiting for the owner to get her butt back home since 9 am.
- Check Gmail as usual. Clear spam inbox with eyes closed. You wont believe what ingenious spelling people come up with to get to your spam inbox.
- Check netvibes, google reader, Hi5, Technorati, Shelfari and what not. In the mean time, forget at least one password, then reset it and check gmail (again)
- Lunch with the mates. If all goes well, they should be able to avoid the dhaba this time around.
- Blog, comment some more and wait for 5 pm to go home
And yeah, and not to forget – go and take classes whenever she can/is supposed to. Thats all in a day’s work.

Whoa…that’s almost my day at work.
The only difference being I act ‘busy’ in between all the surfing and the coffee
*Slaps forehead* Forgot to mention the all-important (innumerous) coffee breaks in between!
Ah lucky you…at my place half the sites are blocked in an attempt to make us work more. We, of course spend our time figuring out ways to access them.
For now, blogger and orkut are both beyond reach, so I do most of the surfing from home.
I realized my blog url was messed up in the comments that I wrote earlier…fixed it now, hope i didn’t lose out on too many visitors
I’m among those who your red-underweared vampire smites daily.
What cardinal sin did I commit?
@Shradha: You know, I was wondering about your earlier url
My office hasnt closed down the fun sites YET. Before they do, I’m surfing all that I can!
@Deepak: You added me in Facebook
